We kindly ask all guests to be in our office at least 15 minutes prior to tour departure to complete check-in formalities. Before the tour begins, you will have to provide us with official identification.
WHAT IS A SEGWAY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
A Segway is a very impressive machine which allows you to cover a lot of ground without the need of walking for hours! Riding a Segway feels like nothing you have ever experienced before and you will quickly realize that riding one is incredibly easy and fun, because it feels like an extension of your own body, you slightly lean towards the direction you want to move and the Segway does the rest!
A Segway tour is the best way to see some of Rotorua's most beautiful sights if you have a limited time and/or want to see as many things as possible.
I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A SEGWAY BEFORE. DO YOU OFFER RIDER TRAINING?
Don't worry if you have never ridden a Segway before! Around 95% of our guests have never ever ridden one! Before every tour we do a training session where each person is assisted and helped until they feel 100% comfortable. You will find the Segway incredibly easy and intuitive to drive and you will be gliding along with us with a big smile in your face!
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
The Segway is safe to use in light rain. In the case of heavy rain just before the tour starts, we will try to alter your booking for another time or day. If it starts to rain during the tour, we will provide you with a free poncho (which you can keep after the tour). In a worst case scenario, where the rain is too strong and you are unable to postpone your tour, we will issue a voucher for a replacement Segway Tour valid for one year.
WHERE IS YOUR OFFICE?
We are situated 1km south of the central business district of Rotorua at 289 Fenton Street, at Urbano Bistro, amongst all the motels and opposite Rydges Hotel.
ARE RESERVATIONS REQUIRED?
Reservations are required. All walk-up customers will be accommodated in the best possible manner based on the availability of a guide and Segways.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE MEETING PLACE?
There is street parking available.
AM I ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES DURING THE TOUR?
Absolutely! However, we prefer that you ask your guide to take your pictures so you can focus on riding and balancing on your Segway. Short stops along the route will allow for some time to step down from your machine to get shots of the city and our guide is more than happy to take photos of you and your group on the Segways as well.
HOW DO WE HEAR WHAT THE TOUR GUIDE IS SAYING?
Easy... we talk to you! Our groups are small and we take the time to stop at the sites so you can soak them in, take pictures, ask questions, interact with your guide, and of course, give our knowledgeable guides time to fill you in on all the history, anecdotes, and urban legends. Our guides are here to help, so if you have a question or need anything while on the tour... just ask!

YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
Riders must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, it requires the physical ability similar to climbing and descending stairs without the use of a handrail. We do not offer tours to people with balance issues, women that are pregnant and anyone under the influence of alcohol.
AGE & WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
Minimum age is 10 years old and the weight range is between 35 kgs - 120 kgs.
CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR:
No sandals or jandals are permitted to be worn - closed in shoes are required when riding a Segway. Guests will be provided with a safety helmet, high-viz vest and in the case of wet weather, ponchos when necessary.
We offer a 100% refund, if you cancel 48 hours in advance of your booking. All tours canceled less than 48 hours are subject to a cancellation fee. All tours cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled departure are non-refundable. If you fail to notify us in advance when canceling a tour for any reason, there is a 100% charge, with no option to reschedule.

All riders must sign our liability waiver form. Riders under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver and one parent or guardian is required to be on the tour with them. At no time can you take another passenger or child on your Segway.
